During a period in the early 1960's, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation produced a series of short documentaries on relatively unknown small towns around Canada. Subsequently, back copies of the programs were stored on vinyl records in the CBC archives.

Deep River was one of those towns. In this 14-minute radio program, Lloyd Robertson conveys a picture of what the town was like in its early days and chats with some of Deep River's most well-known historical figures: Dr. D.A. Keys, Dr. W.B. Lewis and recreation director Jac Cropley.
